RE: Adobe Soudbooth CS5: Objective: I record narratives for videos and other things via microphone (i.e. not by combining existing audio files). I often want to re-record a small part of a larger recording to correct defects in that segement of the recording. This is an easy matter with the low-cost system I have been using (Wavepad by NCH). I simply highlight the segment I want to replace, begin recording, and when I save the new recording, the target segment (original segment) of the full recording has been replaced by the new re-recording. I want to do the same in Soundbooth. I suppose I could accmplish this by starting a new replacement recording, save it to file, highlight the segment I want to replace in the original recording, and then paste in the new file I just created. However, I can't believe that all of this is necessary to replace a second or so of the original recording. I need help from an expert to figure out how to do this more efficiently than what I just decribed (assuming that it is, indeed, possible). ## Deliverables 1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
