Seeking Delphi developer who can transfer current source code from Delphi application that only runs on a 16- bit machine. Current Delphi application is only capable of generating 900k 5 column rows (main file) and is limited to 10,000 records per menu file that gets bumped against (main file) rows. New application has to have capacity to generate 50m 5 column rows and not be limited to records per menu file that gets bumped against each row. This can be done in an external database if necessary as long as it is quick. I’m not married to what program or application you work with to build this application. I only care about the end results, since I will be the only person using it. The aesthetics (beauty) of the application user interface (UI) when finished is not as important as function and speed. The current database program that’s built in “Delphi SQL 3” is limited in its capabilities of generating rows because of its internal database limits of 900k rows. Hi, Delphi 3 happens to be the first language I used in my first job! I am now using Delphi 10 Seattle (v19 really) and it's still going well. May prefer Visual Studio 2015 but who really cares - as long as the output is FAST, and results are ACCURATE. Would you mind sharing the current EXE? If it is small just attach it to a message, or if larger maybe put it on a filelocker site password protected zip. I'm confident I can do this for you quickly and efficiently, first time. Hello. I have over 5 years of Delphi experience, I worked with older Delphi versions, such as Delphi 5 and 7. Also I worked in teams before, so no problems with reading and modifying 3d-party code. I plan to stick to Delphi language for you project, that will eliminate the chance of random error during translation to other language. Of course I will be using modern version (XE5). I am not currently sure what kind of backend (DB storage) to use, but I have experience with great variety of SQL DB Engines, such as MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Interbase and Oracle. I will choose what is more appropriate after investigating source codes and project functionality.

Hello Sir, I'm assuming the Delphi version of the compiler is the number 3? Do you need a port to another version of Delphi or just change your DB? I would propose use MSDE (Microsoft SQL Desktop Editions), which is free Background: - Experience in development with Delphi and MSQL Server.
