This is a freelance, short term project from 4 to 8 months. Front end web developer skilled in HTML5, CSS, Java and hosted platform development environments. .NET and SQL knowledge are a benefit. Upcoming e-commerce project will require familiarity with [login to view URL] or Magento platform. The site will be integrated with Intuit Quickbooks on the back end. Responsibilities will include execution of pre-defined site design, customizing a hosted template. Integration with payment gateway, client-side accounting and real-time shipping modules. Skill Requirements Demonstrated progression in standards-compliant web development (semantic HTML and CSS, unobtrusive JavaScript, etc.) Understanding of performance testing and optimization techniques Ability to create responsive website and understand device agnostic development techniques Experience with JavaScript libraries and frameworks (jQuery, EmberJS, Backbone) Familiarity with CSS pre-processors (Less, SCSS/SASS, Compass) Understanding of front end development best practices (accessibility, 508/WCAG compliance, performance optimization, SEO) Ability to convert Photoshop mockups to valid cross-browser web Experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
