Hi Everyone, I am looking for a skilled individual or a web development firm, with excellent skills and experience in CMS, and e-commerce shopping cart building and customization. Please do not bid if you are not 100% confident you can deliver a clean solution on time and on budget. I am not looking for new developers who are trying to build a portfolio. You will be assessed based on your previous examples of work and standard of code and attention to details. All XHTML code must be <table> tag free, I don't work or want <table> based layout. <div> only. Also all code must be W3C compliant. That said, Project brief: I have a website requires a skilled developer(s) competent in PHP, XHTML, CSS, JQuery, WordPress, The design of all the pages are ready, the winning bidder will be given .PSD files of the design. So I am not expecting you to design any templates. My website is for a startup company dealing in hi- tech industry. We are a researched based organization looking to create a web present. The site consists of six to seven primary pages, for example products page contact us page and the remaining pages are text based pages, such as About us Services etc. The site also has a side panel with few small boxes and these are as follow: - What is new: this is where we will post the latest products, announcements etc. This will be a click though to a page where users can read the full article. - Latest news: this is where we post news and events. - Newsletter sign up - "Twitter" feed Note, the design, needs to be followed exactly, I don’t accept anyone trying to modify or leave out stuff on the original .PSD file. Attention to details while developing the theme is very important, Things such as spaces between design elements, font type, size, colour values, positioning of boxes on the page banners etc must be identical to the .PSD file. On the products page, we need to be able to have a catalogue, with ability to manage the content via the back-end. Because our products are demonstrated in a video format, when the user clicks on a thumbnail in the catalogue the user is then able to view the full details of the product and a video preview of the product in action. We need to be able to upload video clips with each product in the catalogue. We will be uploading our videos onto a video hosting site such as "vimeo” [login to view URL] to save on server space and bandwidth issues. So every time we upload a video onto our account on vimeo, the video should appear on our website (catalogue) simultaneously. The back-end requirements: In the CMS, the site admin must be able to manage all the content i.e. text, images, product catalogue etc via the back-end. For the choice of framework or off the shelf products, we like to use Wordpress. There are resources for Setting up an E-Commerce Site with WordPress. The default WordPress CMS needs to be tidied a bit. There are too many features which come with Wordpress in the back-end, we do not require all of them, especially the stuff related to WP e.g. WP blog, Latest WP news etc. Time scale: I have 16 days to deliver this project, all tested, and cross browser checked. I can not approve any deadline extensions. Selected provider must be very efficient with his/ her time management, and has an excellent communication skill. I will need to be involved in every step of the development life cycle, so it is crucial you keep me posted at all times. Like wise, I will be available any time the provider wants to discuss things or want me to answer questions, test stuff on the site. Please only apply if you are an experienced WP developer with extensive knowledge on WordPress plugins and add ons.
