Hi I have done this work before with a freelancer employer earlier this year. The nature of the project is the same, that is, to create a web-based application that uses SQL Azure as the database. The website itself was hosted in a 3rd party hosting provider. The hosting plan on Azure was simply too expensive for my client's needs. With regards to your project, the existing database schema will have to be modified to differentiate the data between the different clients. The data from your existing databases will have to be migrated across. Am I correct that you are currently manipulating the data via Access forms? and these forms will have to be converted to webpages? The actual cost of the work depends on the number of forms you need converted to webpages and the functionality in each of these forms. If you could share with us a sample of the Access database, it will help me refine the estimate to an more accurate measure. Please detail for us how many webpages there will be, how many reports and the complexity of each of these forms. In terms of skillset, I am a web developer with over 10 years of experience. I have a computer engineering degree from CMU and 20 years experience setting up enterprise systems. I've worked with virtually every SQL DB and a few NOSQL DBs and I'm an expert at SQL. And I've put disparate DB content online at very big companies including Orbitz and Bank of America. I've also worked in hosting and set up multi-tenant environments. In this case, you'd have 4 different access points but the setup isn't true multi-tenant since you aren't so much hosting many different things but a few things that are mostly the same.
