Conditions: - Needs to be compilable with Delphi XE (Unicode!) - Has to work with Win8, Win7 and WinXP - Use official APIs where possible. Don't simply start/stop a service! - Needs to work exactly the same as if changed through Windows dialogs. (e.g. immediate change result, without restart!) - Admin privileges for the application are available. File Sharing XP: - "Use simple file sharing" (Folder Options > View) - "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" (Properties of a network connection > General) - Get current status (on/off) for those settings 7 & 8: - Turn on/off file and printer sharing - Turn on/off network discovery - Turn on/off password protected sharing - Turn on/off public folder sharing - Get current status (on/off) for those settings Notes: - Those settings are all located in this dialog: Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center > Advanced sharing settings - In Win7+ those settings depend on the network type (private/public). Therefore the settings need to be changed separately. Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) - "Allow other network users to connect through this computer's Internet connection" + "Home networking connection" selection - "Allow other network users to control or disable the shared Internet connection" - Get current status (on/off) for those settings

Hello, in past i was working on a similar project using windows xp API . Its not problem to modify some work ( i was developing that in delphi 7 ) and to add functionality for win 7 and 8. I could do several lang support if needed and it wold take me approximately 2-3 weeks to accomplish. Also if you need i could create tray icon for quick access of app functions. Hi, I specialise in Windows desktop applications and I have 30 plus years programming experience, my name is Andy and I am from England but living on the contenant at the moment. The functions you require can be changed via the windows registry, something I have great experience with. My latest projects include an "Alternative" registry editor and an alternative Task manager. My software can read / write Strings, D and Qwords, Binary etc to and from the windows registry. One of my projects was to turn on / off windows functions using my software and the registry without restarting the computer, usually a "Refresh" of the desktop once the registry settings have been changed does the job. The software I have designed can elevate itself to Admin level and so it is able to make the necessary chages (the user does not need to do anything except start the program and use it). I only use MS API's and ensure the UI's are simple and easy to use with a windows look and feel to them. I already have the code for many of the functions you want, so it is just a case of adding in the additional functions and creating a UI for you. This is a very exciting project for me as I already have the knowledge on how to do this for you, I am new to this site, but please do not let that discourage you.
