This is part of an INTERVIEW process to be an editor of a science news website, please read carefully.
Note: Only for graduates of a science-related degree who speak fluent English, and know how to reference journals correctly and do original research.
We are creating a new Science News Site and are looking for editors. Your job will be to find news articles relating to the latest science/health/medicine/nature research and to reword the articles so that they're unique, and include a link to the study from an actual journal.
This is a potential long term venture, with a small starting salary that could however quickly grow into something great.
Project Information - Please Read Carefully
- You will be paid $6 per day as a founding editor. You must find at least 3 scientific news articles each day, ranging between 300-600 words each, and rewrite them so they're 100% unique. You must include a reference not to the news article you rewrite, but to the actual study/journal source that the news article is referring to.
- All articles must be related to breaking new research that is less than 2 days old.
- The articles must be completely unique, not just synonyms used. Rewrite each paragraph so it sounds original. Avoid direct quoting. Don't rewrite quotes.
- Ensure article is accurate, ------->>>> don't change the facts <<<<<--------------.
Application Process - Please Read Carefully
1) Introduce yourself and list your qualifications, including any experience in science, research, or editorial work.
2) Confirm you are definitely able to find and rewrite 3 new science-related news articles a day consistently (you may have Sunday off if you choose). Confirm you are happy to work for the $6/day rate.
3) Find a news article covering a research breakthrough that is less than 2 days old relating to Health/Medicine/Biotech, from a trusted scientific news site such as [url removed, login to view], Science Mag, Science Daily, or any other trusted science news source. Rewrite the news article so that it's 100% unique (copyscape passed as a minimum). It must also be in your own words so it is not obvious you copied it. The article must be in completely fluent and professional English. It must sound like a scientist wrote it. We shouldn't need to rewrite anything or correct your grammar. Proof-read it.
4) At the bottom of the article, include a link to the actual journal paper with the research (released within 2 days) that the article is referring to, NOT the newspaper article you rewrote.
5) Provide a link to the newspaper article as well so that I can see how well you rewrote the article.
