I’m looking for a Canadian writer to create a series of articles, as well as revise/update a number of existing articles, on my website. The subject of my website is government grants and rebates for Canadian homeowners. I'm looking for a writer who is very structured in their thinking, and is able to organize and summarize information that some people would consider "dry" (the aforementioned government grants and rebates). The articles you create will describe government grants and rebates for Canadian homeowners in various: - Provinces (focused on seven provinces) - Audience groups (e.g. seniors, persons with disabilities, first-time home owners, etc) - Utility companies (e.g. BC Hydro; Enbridge; etc) - Renovation types (e.g. rebates for toilets; windows; furnaces; etc) In total, you will revise/update 8 existing published articles on my site, and create 15 new articles. So you'll be working on/creating 23 pieces of content total. Revising an existing published article will involve consulting various websites to see if the grants/rebates that are listed in the published article are still available, as well as checking to see if there are new grants/rebates and adding that info to the existing article. Creating new articles will involve consulting various websites that contain grant/rebate info, summarizing that info, and writing a lively/engaging article around the grant/rebate info. I can give you a spreadsheet with a list of online sources of grant/rebate information, but I will expect you to do some web research to ensure there are no sources I missed. I would prefer to pay a lump-sum for this work. Once we’ve worked out the precise expectations for the work, we can negotiate a sum and establish milestones. Note: I don’t have a large budget for this project, but would be happy to give an aspiring writer/freelancer a 5-star review for a job well-done. Bidders MUST (1) briefly describe any similar work they’ve done that involves web research and writing, and (2) provide 2-3 writing samples.
