Good day,
By way of introduction I would just like to inform you that I am familiar with Fernando Sor's music and compositional style. I have just recently performed Sor's Introduction and Variations on a Theme by Mozart, Op. 9 (for guitar). I mention this because I will be able to transcribe (for tablature) exactly what Sor intended. I will also be able to play through the transcriptions to check if they are idiomatic (playable/fluent).
I just have four questions. (1) What version of the score are you using? is it one that has been edited by Segovia or is it the original facsimile done by Sor. (2) How many pages in total would you like transcribed. (3) do you want only the tablature or would you like the tablature with the corresponding notation above it? (the latter will take more time) (4) do you require me to indicate myself as a transcriber at the top of the page?
I have done similar projects like this for my self (teaching material) and as part of homework for theory and guitar accompaniment courses.
I suspect that it would take me about 2 hours to completely transcribe one piece that is approximately 3 pages long. 1 hour would be to transcribe the piece and the other hour would be used to learn the piece and to check if the fingering works out and corresponds to the scores fingering. Again, I might be more exact if I knew how many pages in total the collection is.
Kind Regards,
