Fine Tuning Drawings

I am a builder in Oakville, Ontario, Canada and have been in business for the past 23 years. We have contracted our latest project to a new architectural Firm. However knowledgeable and good with the town they may be they seem to lack details in their drawings. Few attempts were made to obtain drawings that meets our standards for construction purposes but it was in vain. hence I am resourcing to an alternative way so that our need of fine tunes drawings are met and still maintain our relationship with the architect. we have a drawings (called project) and then we have an older drawing (called sample). we would like project drawings to be at the same standard as the sample drawing. To more clearly describe the Scope of work here are a few things that comes to mind: - To provide CAD drawings of floor plans and elevations and roof with dimension throughout (1/4" precision) yet all distances to be no less than 1/2", - To make sure that symmetry is maintained as much as possible, - To display construction line on plan view such as drywall, studs, plywood, - To adjust/correct the sections (we are working on that as we speak), - To clearly hatch on plan view the stucco vs stone area, - To show all stairs with nosing, - to clearly display on plan view the different ceiling heights, - To Display on plan view the walls of floor above in a solid semi-transparent hatch, - To display door size on the door itself, - To align text such as floor levels on elevations, all the above ought to be second nature to a detail oriented architect but unfortunately is lacking with our present architect.
