To speed up the algorithm, I will analyze your code and prepare a CUDA kernel. The GPU acceleration will be done in a simple way, first multiple threads in a single block and then maybe multiple blocks approach will be taken in case of such need. Finally we should measure the speed-up and decide on further steps.
