ASP.NET C# MVC Application

Daypilot is one of the best calendar control in Asp.Net; but I can understand your concern about not using any Asp.Net Control- although the customisation scope is available with calendar controls but it has limitation also. To work with Asp.Net calendar control, I have faced few issues to work with Asp.Net Calendar controls in previous projects. How far I can recall, I noticed that asp.net calendar control header is separated from calendar. Also in another project with Asp.Net calendar control,I was working to fill in a text box with the selected date. When a date is selected, it should be displayed in the label; but the label doesn't show the selected date. Please confirm me one thing: In stead of using any Asp.Net Calendar control, if I have used any jQuery plugin or controls- will that be okay with you? Or you need a fully customised system? There are many jQuery options are available. Like Datepicker or Full Calendar plugin. The Datepicker is tied to a standard form input field. Focus on the input (click, or use the tab key) to open an interactive calendar in a small overlay. Choose a date, click elsewhere on the page (blur the input), or hit the Esc key to close. If a date is chosen, feedback is shown as the input's value. Full Calendar: FullCalendar is a Open Source JavaScript jQuery plugin for a full-sized, drag and drop event calendar. Hi, I am going to implement this solution using .Net and will not use any .Net controls to create the calendar. Whole page will be Ajaxified and the calendars at the bottom will load only using Asynchronous requests. My final application will have the following: 1. Start and End date text boxes with date pickers and a Show time range button 2. The button will show the time range below the form with color coding as mentioned in the project. 3. Calendar will be further color coded on the basis of the holidays that the application will read from a static (text file) and color code them accordingly. Best Regards, Naveed Butt
