The project: Copy product info, including product categories, product name, description, images and photos, videos, video links from the [url removed, login to view] Web site into an online database that I will give you access to.

For any images or videos, the file is to be downloaded and then uploaded to the database site. If the video is on Vimeo or YouTube, you will need to download the video file using whatever free tool you want, then uploading it. For example, you can use this tool: [url removed, login to view]

You will preview your work entered into the database using an iPad. You must have an iPad 2 or newer to do this project. I will provide the viewer app for you.

The iPad app is available here:

- app provided to winner of project -

The app gets its data, colors, images, and style from an online database called AppGlu.

- Login credentials provided to winner of project -

Once you log into AppGlu, you can change anything, and the changes will be reflected in the app. For this project, you will be changing the sample data, and replacing it with real data from this web site:

[url removed, login to view]

The categories will come from the "Product" menu on the web site. Specifically, you should create these categories in AppGlu:

Men's Skis

Men's Poles

Men's Outerwear

Men's Gloves

Men's Technical Layering

Men's Hoodies & Tees

Men's Headwear

Men's Skins, Bags & Accessories

Women's Skis

Women's Poles

Women's Outerwear

Women's Layering, Hoodies & Tees

Women's Goves, Beanies & Accessories

Next, you'll add products that come from the Armada web site. I want you to add just 5 products for each category, then go onto the next category. Then, when all categories are done, go back and add more to each category. (The reason to do it this way, is so that you can see progress as you add products.)

For each product, you'll need a title and a description. I will use the "Halo 2" product as an example. You can find it here:

So, here's what you need to do:

Title: Halo 2

Description:

AR Series Halo 2

The Halo 2 maintains its 5-dimension sidecut and EST Park Rocker in this upgrade. However, a new wider footprint has been added while retaining the unique soft and playful flex of its Hybrid Double Zone Core. Factor in the AR50 sidewall construction and S7 Base, and you’ve got the ski designed to hold up to any all-terrain jib mission.

The next level. Subtle rocker in the tips and tails with positive camber underfoot. This enhances carving while also disengaging the tip and tail to create a catch-free feel that's ideal for buttering and nose and tail presses.

You can skip the hard content, such as the TERRAIN SCALE, since that is hard to turn into words.

You can make things bold, italics, bigger fonts... whatever you want that looks good. You can check that in the iPad app.

Then, you'll need the videos and photos from that product. For instance, this product has one video, and 5 images. Save them all to your local disk. You will use a tool to download the video from Vimeo, such as [url removed, login to view] Similar tools exist for YouTube. You don't need to save the HD version. Just the smaller version is fine.

For some things, on the product catalog, you might need to copy/paste some text. Or you can take a screenshot of a part of the screen, and upload that as an image for the product.

Your goal is to make the iPad app look like a great demo.

That's it. Just do what you can, 4 hours max. I'll pay you for 5 hours though.
