This is the last step of the process of converting PDFs in varying qualities, to structured HTML in very high quality. We need it to build a search engine for international law. You can find a description at jusmundi.com. The freelancer needs to be used to work with Excel and picky. The task is not complex but could be arduous. The process consists essentially in manipulating Excel and basic functions and run macros. After the export of PDF, the text comports some imperfections due to the OCR. The job is to spot them with guidelines we provide and correct them. It is not complex but acquiring reflexes is the key. The text (arbitral sentences for example) could be long with several levels (paragraphs, footnotes, etc…). Our guidelines don’t cover all anomalies one could face but once the logic is understood, texts flaws are obvious. We will give you few documents and see how you work. We intend to build a long-term relationship with one or several serious freelancer(s) as we have a lot of documents to convert. For the moment it will be one rush of maybe 400 hours.
