Hello. I'm an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning) engineer and an energy economist. Your work seems to require those two skill domains. I can make a technical and economic comparison between conventional brick wall and drywall. The technical part will take in count the 3 different heat transfers (conduction, convection, radiation). However, I don't have a ABAQOS software license. I propose to use my calculation Excel sheet (2D colored graphs). For an easy shape, it doesn't need to use advanced software. I propose to take a basic wall composition that is currently built. The simulation can be realized: - dynamically on a day, to compare the response of the wall and its thermal properties (conductivity, and also heat storage and restoration). - over a year at selected climatic conditions (Australia apparently) and with a typical floor layout, to calculate the gains in energy. The economic analysis will compare Investissement costs and energy costs (according to the most used heating system in Australia) to obtain a Net Present Value.
