Hi. I am an author and proofreader, and I would be interested in finding out more about this project.
I write sci-fi novels (science-fantasy, space opera, sci-fi thriller, and a bit of post-apocalyptic) and I actually work with a comic writer and publisher. I mainly proofread their comics, but I have done some writing for them too. With your permission, I could even run things by them as part of this if you wanted.
If you search Amazon for 'Acts of Violence' by Ross Harrison, you will see my books (and how bad I am at marketing). My favourite authors are Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams, Peter F Hamilton, Ian M Banks, Lee Child. In terms of comics, I'll read anything that Jim Lee has done the art for (honestly, I base what comics I read on the art first). I can't stand Frank Miller.
On my side of things, to know if I would be a good fit for this, I would need to know a bit more about your idea and how far you are (scribbled notes, a rough draft, etc.) and some details about things such as tone, what quantity of text you are looking for (V for Vendetta or Garfield), how long you want the graphic novel to be, etc. Whatever you think I need to know.
Lastly, just to be thorough, in my milestones, I'll ask for $333 upfront. This will both cover the obnoxious fee Freelancer will immediately charge me, and will be a kind of a show of good faith (unfortunately, the more someone offers on here, the more likely they are to have no intention of paying, in my experience).
Thank you
