Build a Chrome Extension that captures an entire web page as a PDF and attaches that PDF to a new gMail message with pre-determined subject line and message body text. This needs to be as simplified as possible as the extension will be used by individuals with very little technical knowledge.
1. Capture the page as a PDF: Today we’re using the free FireShot Chrome extension to capture the entire web page as a PDF ([url removed, login to view])
2. Attach the PDF to a new gMail message: Every individual who uses this extension will have a gMail account that they are signed into at all times.
3. Pre-determined subject line and message body text: We will need to change this subject line and message body text occasionally; please build a Settings tool where this can be adjusted.
4. Simple as possible: Ideally, this would be 1-click from capturing a web page to having a message with an attachment ready to send. The user would input the recipient’s email address and hit SEND. That should be all we’re asking the users to do manually (no saving files, attaching files manually, etc.)
Looking forward to seeing your work!
