We are looking to develop a web application for a social network service that is based on the old version of Reddit ([login to view URL]). This version of Reddit is open source and is available on Github. We wish to utilize the code as much as possible. Developing scope is around 40 pages, and we will be adding a few of our own features (e.g. tweaking the voting system) which we do not expect to be technically complicated.
We have already finished creating and compiling a data flow chart, requirement specifications, and specific wireframes/designs (using both Figma and Balsamiq).
We prefer the backend to be written in Python, as that is what Reddit's source code is based on. We plan on building the frontend with either React or Angular.
Once the project web application is paid for and released, we would wholly own the application’s source code and we request that our application not be shared/sold.
