Sorry I had posted this before but didn't have the backend ready to go so didn't pick a bidder, the backend is now ready to go and I will pick a bidder by Monday. The ipad app has already been built, it is working and stable. Now we want to add small improvements to it and hopefully find a long term partner to work with us in supporting and improving our app. Currently the app is pretty simple, there is a logon screen, the user enters their credentials, the app validates the user (using web service calls) and retrieves a user specific database (sqlite) file to download. This database file contains the data to display in a grid that the user can scroll through, filter, sort, and pick items from to create a PDF.
Right now the data grids (there are two) are hard coded (fixed), but what we want to do is make it dynamic, so the columns displayed in the grid are defined in the sqlite database (which the app has downloaded for the given user) and depend on the filters a user has picked. So the app change would be something like this:
User has picked Filter1=A, Filter2=B, Filter3=C (filters are the items shown on the left side of the attached screenshots). Query the sqlite DB dynamic grid lookup table where Filter1=A, Filter2=B, and Filter3=C to get the list of columns to display in the grid along with column attributes (such as column name, width, fixed/scrolls, font, column display name, color, etc). Then run the query to pull the data and display it in the data grid, fully customized as defined in the lookup table. So for example, the lookup table might say for Filter1=A Filter2=B Filter3=C show x,y,and z in the grid, but if Filter1=D Filter2=B Filter3=C then show t,u,v,w,x,y,z. The grid must be scrollable in both directions.
After the user picks some rows from the main grid and taps a button, there is a second screen with another grid showing only the rows they picked - this grid must also be dynamic and may not show the same columns as the first grid, so there is a second lookup to determine how to show the summary information (both girds are shown in the attached screenshots).
If you do a good job with this request, there will be additional work for additional pay.
