We have an ASP.NET application that uses a backend SQL server database. On one of the pages we would like to draw organization charts depicting people working in an organization. The users are linked in an hierarchical manner in the database and quite simply we have users id and manager ids. Requirements: Using .NET C# and ASMX web services create a front end charting module. there are two specific needs there. The first is that the drawing engine or code should render a chart with many individuals. The default zoom level should be set to the level at which the logged in user is at. Each node (or person) on the chart will be represented with a CSS DIV that will have the persons photo and some other icons, all of which are data bound. MOST IMPORTANTLY: We have a unique requirement that if it is indicated in the database that Person B is covering for Person A then Person B node should appear over the node for Person A, even if Person B does not belong to the same department as Person A. You are free to use D3 or jQuery or any other drawing program you know of with prior approval. A very strong proof of such projects in the past with a portfolio will be most helpful. Deliverable will be C# source code written in well modularized manner and that it should integrate well with our code. If you require a web service method then you will have to supply me the code and I will integrate. More low level details when we start discussing. Only the best may apply.

Hi Ashkot123, It will be really helpful fro me to use D3 and/or Jquery although I have some other scripting library in mind, that I will discuss and confirm with you. I will surely create the charting module to be represented CSS Div with users info, and the zoom level will render to node's level. MOST IMPORTANTLY: I will have to devise an application algorithm on for this section. Hello, I can help you with this project. My understanding is, You are looking for a charting component to use part of your application and not a commercial solution to resale. In that case, there are a number of charting components we can use, paid or free. Telerik has .NET version of charting control as well as Google offers a free version part of their JavaScript API.
