Cycle plugin customisation

I need a fix for the cycle plugin. I have a hero running (id="hero") with two pagers/navigations. One pager is id="main-nav" the other one as id="pager". At the moment they don't run in tune. I need the two pagers tow run synchronously. This means both pager should change upon click events respectively. For example when clicking top pager the overall image should change as well as the bottom pagers active state. Please find attached demo for example.
