I need an experienced Java programmer who is skilled at speaking English and who knows how to teach - preferably someone who has had experience in teaching Java programming. The task is to help me finish a school project - I don't want you to do all the work, but I want to be able to ask you questions and you will also have to explain some technical things to me. The game: The game will be a simple java game with a graphical user interface using JFrame and JPanel. All the objects in the "world" will be GRects. A player will be represented as a GRect and can move around in the world using the arrow keys. There are some walls which the player cannot mode through. We need to implement some kind of energyLevel to the user - e.g. everytime the user moves, he loses energy. Some where there are question objects. These question objects can be picked up and and the player then has to answer a question. A correct answer gives the user 100 energy. This is basically it. The start point will be me showing you some source code with the most of these things implemented and you will then guide me to how to make the code better using a model view controller "framework", high cohesion, low coupling and generally best practices. All the code will then be tested using JUnit. As mentioned, most of the code has been done and it working so it shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours. However, I need everything done tonight. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT - THE PROJECT HAS TO BE DONE TONIGHT between 6 pm and 12 pm Central European Time. The topics are: Creating a very simple graphical java application. All code must be done "by the book" using best practices and Model View Controller. Create code with low coupling and high cohesion. Create some JUnit tests. Simple KeyListener implementation. I have added a screenshot of how the GUI looks.

Number of years of mentoring programmers on J2EE, core Java, application server programing. Didn't think that it would be a criteria, so didnt put it in my profile. I am in US EST. Let me know if you are interested.

I'm a Software Developer with Java Tutoring experience, I'm also familiar with the MVC structure. It should be a fairly simple transition from working source to a properly structured MVC program. All of the things you need to implement should be easy fixes, mostly to do with a simple implementation of KeyListener. Thanks for your consideration and good luck in your search.
