2 years ago, a developer here made me a simple one page vb script that opens Internet explorer and then logs into a website (username/password) and visits each link/url that it finds on each page (including visiting the next page available, through pagniation). The login part still work, but there are a few html-changes in the pages it needs to gather and then crawl/visit, so it doesn't work completely. The script stops and closes because it doesn't find the html (css tag) that it looks for. I assume this would be an one hour job at most. The original developement was done for $42 USD (around 100 lines of code) and I assume that it would be even easier now as login and most of the script is working - it just needs to look for correct html-tag.
This is from the original project I posted two years ago, but my needs was matched by doing it in vb script instead, as explained above. So ignore the php and that stuff:
Need a crawler that will browse (crawl) profiles on a webpage (url) after you are logged in (cookies are set). This includes opening every url on a given page once. So it just have to open/close each link.
The reason for this is to record a visit in everyones profile. It doesn't need to collect any information, each link/profile should just simply be visited/opened and closed.
I have tried to do this using php and the [login to view URL] class, but on this site, the content seems to be blank (possible because some clever method to avoid crawling or other reasons).
