I have a lot of experience nodejs. I thing that this project would be very easy to complete. I have time now, so I'm going to start writing code.

This is my plan. The mp3 file will be decode and encode using node-lame. Mp3 will be decoded to buffer and the stream of bytes (contains sound samples) will be inspected. If the value of any samples is in between -80 and 80 for more than 3 seconds, it will be concerned as silence period. All of the silence periods will be pulled off of then the playback will be saved into a new single file. Limitation - LAME must be installed in the machine that will use this NodeJs package. - Might not work on Windows (Never tested).
