The task is to repair and restore a broken Linux web server (running wordpress) back to a state you would be comfortable with it being a production server that you manage. The VM at the link below is the machine in question, but the previous system administrator has not left you the password to it and has also sabotaged the ability for the web work correctly.

With this task, you are welcome to modify the system in any way you see fit and install any additional software you feel necessary to make it production.
For this you will be expected to provide back two deliverables in addition to whatever materials you’d like to share in the final presentation:
1) A detailed list of the tasks you did to make it production ready.
2) The fixed, production version of the VM. Please provide in a format VirtualBox can import.
Bonus Problems: There are a few extra additional challenges as part of this exercise. They are not mandatory and only there if you have interest to dive further into the exercise and/or time to do so.
1) In general, best practice is obviously to validate the backups, then wipe and reload the machine. However, in this academic exercise go through and identify, document, and mitigate all of the ways that the previous system administrator has sabotaged the system and/or left ways that he might be able to get back into it remotely.
2) The Linux web server also contains a broken installation of an HDFS name node and data node that contain the fictional company’s most important documents. Restore those services to a functional state, meaning the command “$ hdfs dfs -ls / “returns a list of files.
