We have a lamp server, with cpanel, centos 6.9. We need to install mod_cloudflare so we can see visitors real ips rather than cloudflares. We followed all instructions, tried several different ways to install mod_cloudflare and nothing works. We also reached out to cloudflare support who said this:
"Sorry to hear that mod_cloudflare isn't working as you'd like it to.
We really don't have any complaints about this though.
Most issues are fixed with a re-installation of the module.
however, that didn't work.
I have seen this previously with CloudLinux.
In that case, the customer had apxs and ran apxs2 -a -i -c mod_cloudflare.c after pulling the source from our github repo.
he then said:
The only suggestion here is to retry installation from our repo - [login to view URL]
We really have limited support for cpanel at this time.
We get an error:
Starting httpd: httpd: Syntax error on line 262 of /etc/apache2/conf/[login to view URL]: Syntax error on line 1 of /etc/apache2/conf.d/[login to view URL]: Cannot load /usr/lib64/apache2/modules/mod_clou [login to view URL] into server: /usr/lib64/apache2/modules/[login to view URL]: undefined symbol: ap_log_rerror
Good evening,
I can resolve the IP issue for you while your using Cloudflare, unfortunately the easyapache module doesn't work for EA4 but I can advise on the work around or implement it if you wish?
If you have any question's please feel free to drop me a message.
Kind regards
Chris
