During my studies I learned about Networking, Servers and Python programing. I got hands-on experience of configuring Cisco routers and switches. I worked with Server 2010 and 2019 and gained experience related to set up DNS, Active Directory, NFS, SAMBA, Print Server, Proxy Server. I also worked with Exchange server 2010-19. I also studied Linux as a part of my curriculum through which I learned to set up Bind, Cups, NFS, SAMBA, Postfix, IP Tables, SSH, Apache.
As an IT Support Specialist, I gained experience in supporting software and hardware issues being faced by the end users. I have worked proficiently with both Mac and Windows operating systems. I have also done successful training sessions with users about software guidelines and usage. I was also responsible for performing regular malware and virus inspections and keeping the antivirus updated and maintained backup of company’s software. Also, made sure to keep the client’s system updated and properly backed up. I also participated in daily stand-up meetings to keep the manager updated regarding work, and ask for hardware and software updates as per client’s requirements. I also attended brain storming sessions in which we discussed common issues being faced by the client to pro-actively catch and fix them to better manage the incoming tickets. As I have gained some experience in my role, I have often assisted new co-op students and colleagues if they ever face any issues.
