Install latest Magento 2.X version. Update theme so that it is similar to one currently used in Magento 1.9.X (design changes or improvements are fine; sites do not need to be mirror images of each other). Install and configure M2E Pro extension as well as extension for X-POS (Point of Sale) and also extension for ShipStation. Setup payment and shipping settings (USPS and UPS). Migrate data from Magento 1.9.X site to include products, categories, orders, customers, product images and any other data required to switch sites. Coordinate timing for turnover between old Magento 1.9.X site and new Magento 2.X site. Goal of project is seamless transition from older version of Magento to newer version of Magento. Design improvements to look and feel are also welcome.
