I have a client who is a 30-something (young) partner in a CPA firm. One of her tasks in 2017 is to research what the future holds for CPA firms. Will tax preparation go away? How will CPA firms change in 20 years? How will they make money? Because those answers don't really exist, I suggested she hire a professional researcher who might find what the "experts" are speculating. I've often encouraged my executive-coaching clients to hire their own free-lance researchers to help with all sorts of questions. This project is my own experiment to see if and how easily I might find free-lance research help.
