Good Day: I have over 15 years of IT experience supporting Windows and Linux environments doing first, second, and 3rd line support. I have engineered and configured virtual environments, in which I deployed, maintained, and supported multiple Windows 2008R2 Servers providing file, exchange, and database services to over 2000 Windows 7 clients. I recently completed a project which involved migrating Window XP clients to Windows 7 For this project I will work closely with you and your clients. I will schedule a time with each client to remotely connect to them and backup there personal data, windows profile, bookmarks and any other application data to a remote file share. The migration of the clients PC will start once the backup has been verified. Depending on how your environment is configured there is a number of different techniques that can be used to upgrade the clients PC to Windows 7. I will require more information in regards to the configuration of your network to recommend the quickest, least disruptive, technique to use. Once Windows 7 installation has been completed. I will once again remotely connect to the clients PC. Setup the users shares and printers, restore there data, profile and favorites.
