For this effort you will be using ObjectC and Cocoa.
Streamer is a web-based captioning and translation system. As part of that system, we have application called the “Overlay Tool” that superimposes the generated captioning on top of another application, such as PowerPoint slides or a Skype phone call. The Overlay Tool displays the captioning that is being generated by our Streamer code, so you are not generating the captioning yourself, but rather displaying the words that are being generated by Streamer. Currently the Overlay Tool only runs on Windows platforms. In this project you will be creating a MacOS version of the Overlay Tool. The MacOS version needs to have the same functionality as the existing Windows version. This includes all the settings options that are shown in the Overlay tool's setting window.
Here is a video showing how the Overlay Tool works: [login to view URL]
You can use it for yourself. On a Windows computer, go to [login to view URL] and log in using the account DEMO and the password 12345678. Click on the “Demo” room, and then in the “Streamer Settings” dropdown menu select the “Launch Overlay Tool” option.
Again, the new MacOS version needs to have the same functionality as the existing Windows version.
