I'm seeking an artist to design the book cover for my Fantasy/Sci-Fi novel. There's a distinct dichotomy in the tone of the book that I'd like to be represented in the design - an unsettling and frightening mystery contrasted with breathtaking and awe-inspiring beauty. That's the only thing I know for sure that I want. I'd like to hire an artist who could help me start from there and develop a great concept for the book cover. Some more info about the story and the possible directions you could take the design: The story takes place in a palace in the mountains, in an alternate Sci-Fi universe with robots and other advanced tech. Beautiful rocks/geodes are central to the story, so I'd like to get one or more of those on the cover somewhere. More ideas: a dragon, winter theme, nature theme, gardens, dream theme, clouds, steampunk, library. I could also see the cover having either the 4 main characters or the 1 protagonist. I'll obviously share more details when I hire someone but if any of the above sounds interesting to you, we might be a good fit!

Hi, I would gladly create the cover art for your fantasy/scifi novel. I like the style/feel you're describing it's kind of like the game Siberia, it's very cool. Do you have a specific illustration style in mind as well? I would probably paint the image digitally in Photoshop, but I can also work with traditional tools if preferred (ink, watercolor, oil). I would first provide a sketch of the illustration for revision, then - with your approval - I would finalize the image.
