I want to use Level Four Storefront ([login to view URL]) in my web site. This product has all the features I need except a gateway for determining shipping/freight costs from United Parcel Service (UPS).
I want to implement the shipping/freight feature into Level Four Storefront.
UPS requires the following information to calculate freight cost: Type of Packaging (My Packaging); Shipping Dimension (LxWxH); Shipping Weight; Ship From = ZIP code, city, country; Shop To = Postal Code, city, country; Destination type = commercial; Number of Boxes; Customs Value (international purchases only - total cost of the items being purchased); Declared Value (freight insurance purposes - total cost of the items being purchased); How will you get your package(s) to UPS = give my package(s) to my UPS driver; Do you have a Daily Pickup? = Yes.
Based on the information of the items in the shoppping cart, UPS will provide shipping costs for various services they provide. The store is located in the United States and therefore all shipments will originate from the United States.
If the "Ship To" is in the United States, the UPS services and costs displayed would be "Ground", "Next Day Air", "2nd Day Air" and "3rd Day Air".
If the "Ship To" is outside of the United States, the UPS services and costs displayed would be "Worldwide Express Plus", "Worldwide Express", "Worldwide Saver", "Worldwide Expedited", "UPS Standards" (for Canada only). USP determines which services are available for each country.
The profile of each product in the store would need to contain the shipping dimensions, weight and number of boxes the item is shipped in.
I want the shipping freight feature to be integrated and therefore to appear seemless to the customer.
