I am developing a new website, [url removed, login to view] and I have a template (not Wordpress or any other CMS, just a structure) I want to use. It has a webpage for blog entries, [url removed, login to view], that has a clean interface that I want to be followed with little change. I have no problem with installing wordpress (no other CMS as I am familiar with Wordpress) to actually run the blog, but I want to be able to display the blogs as shown on the Blog webpage url listed above. In addition, I want the "popular posts" sidebox (and additional sideboxes of similar layout below it) to pull blogs from the wordpress database and list them in the sideboxes.
(I will have four or five regular bloggers and occasional varying guest bloggers. I want the second sidebox to list, along with the blogger's picture, which will link to a page of their blogs, two or three recent one line titles - partial if too long - or a list of dates for their recent blogs with links to the individual blogs .
I want the third sidebox to be a list of blog categories and link to a page which will list the blogs in that category.)
I have a MySQL database that allows people to log in to my website. I want to use this as the user log in to the site (and to allow them to post comments to the blog), I want them to be logged into the website using my database and that make them logged into word press to allow them to comment on posts.
I want the pagination feature as shown at the bottom of the url listed on all blog listing pages and the continue reading button to bring specific blog up with the same page layout, except that the popular posts will only list the specific blogger's most popular posts, and the categories will only list the categories that the specific blogger has posts on.
I use sessions to track users across pages and want this to be used for tracking users for wordpress comments. If necessary to add to my MySQL database for individual users data to allow this site addition to work with wordpress, you will be given access.
This will involve installing wordpress in a directory above the level of the website. The theme for wordpress is not important, as that will not be accessed by end user, only by bloggers and admins.
NO FINAL PAYMENT WILL BE RELEASED UNLESS WELL DOCUMENTED AND COMMENTED CODE. I have had issues where later vWorkers/Freelancers had problems following the code and it costs me more in the long run, so, unless you document well, please do not bid.
If you have any questions, please ask and I will add information to the project posting for all to see.
This is a small project for a large amount of development to make this website functional. The development will happen over the next couple of months and future project preference will be to the one who does this project well and quickly at a reasonable price.
