Outsource: Auto Parts Retailer

We are looking to outsource the following overflow project and accepting bids from ALL budget ranges. This project is for an auto parts retailer that wishes to take their business on-line. Their wholesaler provides and maintains a database and catalog of their complete product line that is available for access via a Java API over a VPN connection. Full information about the API itself is available at [login to view URL] You will be required to setup a VPN, Java VM, and shopping cart (of your choosing) on a dedicated red hat linux (enterprise) machine. You must tie into the Java API via PHP (or other - We are not firm on having to use PHP, if you prefer Perl or C++ that's fine as well.) and hook that up to a shopping cart that will provide info available from the various classes in the API. You will also be responsible for modifying the .jsp pages that control the look of the catalog itself to conform to our visual specifications. We will be handling the site design/branding itself, so you are only responsible for the back-end aspects of this project. It's actually not as complicated as it sounds once you read the API spec above.
