Below are the details of the content and their method of download at the user end. ·Wallpaper (JPEG): The URL to the wallpaper would be sent to the user's mobile phone as a WAP URL. The end user can then click on the link and download the image as wallpaper. There is another way to send this category of content to the users mobile and that is through encapsulating the content into a MMS and sending it across OTA (over the air). ·Operator Logos: GIF: These are sent through SMS and through OTA (over the air). The user receives the message on his mobile phone “Operator Logo Received” with option to save it. ·Applications/Games: SIS and Jar/Jad: The application screenshot would be displayed on the web site or the WAP site and the link to the application download could be sent to the mobile phone as WAP URL which can then be downloaded using a GPRS connection directly to the mobile phone. ·Ring tones: RTTTL (Monophonic Ring tone): The ring tone of this format are supported on mobile phones as monophonic ring tones with the tone being sent through SMS, displaying a message “Ringing Tone Received” on the target mobile phone. ·Ring tones: MIDI (Polyphonic Ring tone) : This ring tone is supported on Series 40 mobile phones and later versions. These can be downloaded to the mobile phone through WAP and from the website the selections can be made by previewing the tone as a MIDI music. These may also be encapsulated with the MMS and sent directly to the target mobile phone through the MMS gateway. ·Ring tones: WAV Ring tone: These ring tones are supported on the primitive symbian phones and play a small clip of the song as a ring tone. These can be downloaded through WAP URL wherein the URL of the wave file is sent to the target mobile from where the ring tone can be downloaded through GPRS. ·Ring tones: Mp3 Ring tone: These are available on phones which are later entrants to the symbian category with a clip of a Mp3 song as ring tone. These can be downloaded through WAP URL wherein the URL of the wave file is sent to the target mobile from where the ring tone can be downloaded through GPRS. Ring tones: AMR Ring tone: These are ring tones with voice capabilities and with these proper voice ring tones can be realized while maintaining a very small size at the same time.
