We have a successful and busy website in need of an artistic remake. Your job is to create a graphical layout for our site along with a logo and any other graphic elements necessary for the layout.

We have a successful and busy website in need of an artistic remake. Your job is to create a graphical layout for our site along with a logo and any other graphic elements necessary for the layout. You must use royalty-free images. Photographic images are much preferred to line drawings. Make sure some of the photos are of people. The description below uses a borrowed layout as a baseline that you can find at [url removed, login to view] Needless to say, we need to make it our own with a new color scheme and graphics. Some of the instructions below may require you to change the relative size or position of elements. Use your artistic discretion. The impression we are trying to create is high quality, rich, reliable, understandable, usable, and friendly. What we expect to be delivered is: • A picture of the homepage using Photoshop or something similar • A picture of a template that can be used for general “inside?? pages • A picture of a template for pop up pages (pop ups are used for reference information) • Explicit instructions on which fonts and sizes to use for every text element using only those fonts commonly found on both late model PC’s and Mac’s • Any hints or suggestions you might need to make to our web developers about layout, CSS, etc. • All the required web-ready graphics for our web developers to use when building out the pages to your specifications HOMEPAGE INSTRUCTIONS Develop a new logo which reads, “Article Marketer??. Be sure there is a space between “Article?? and “Marketer??. All font types and sizes are open to your choosing unless otherwise stated below. We want three separate color schemes and associated graphics. The graphics may be the same or substantially the same in each of the three schemes, at your option. We only want one logo and it needs to work with all three color schemes. To the right of the logo, display text that reads, “Over 5.2 million successful submissions??. You may use two lines if necessary. It must be in text and not a graphic as the figure will be dynamically generated. Change the text of the top navigation item from “Account Center Log In?? to “Author Login??. The other links’ text remain as is. Remove the gray menu buttons that say, "Apply for a Card", "About Your Card", and "Account Management". We will not be using that navigation. (You may want to use something like this for the general template described below however.) The main ad area of the example page is one big graphic with a credit card, a headline, some bulleted copy, and some buttons. We want something a little different. We are counting on your imagination to come up with a compelling graphic to replace the credit card. The use of space is fine, but the headline and bullet items must be text. The headline will read “Submit Your Articles All Around the Net??. The copy below the headline will read: • Tremendous distribution to thousands of people on hundreds of websites, article directories, and email lists • Submit your articles in more niche categories to the longest distribution list in the industry • Review and edit your articles using a fully featured author control panel • Receive world class support and personal attention from actual human editors who review your articles for free • So many features put you totally in charge of your article marketing campaigns Make sure the copy is large enough to read. (At least 14 pt.) Below that, create two graphic buttons that say, “Learn More?? and “Create Account??. The example site has four main areas: a header, the main ad, a column running down the right side, and the group of columns below the main ad. We need something slightly different. We want the group of columns below the main ad to span the entire width of the page. That means the right column area of the example page will have to be cut short. We also want to add an element above the group of columns: a “ticker?? that scrolls across the whole page. You can see an implementation of this ticker on our present homepage at [url removed, login to view] just above the fold. Let’s talk about those three columns with orange headers. Change the headers from “Products and Services You Can Trust??, “Easiest Online Account Management??, and “Complete Fraud Protection?? to “Featured Service??, “Article Marketer University??, “Add Your Site??. The example page has the text incorporated in the graphic. We can’t do that. The text of these headers must be changeable by a programmer, not a graphic artist. For the box below each of these headers, we need some graphics that would apply to the header. We count on your artistic imagination here. The text in this box must be changeable just like the headers. The graphic background can be placed in CSS. Now let’s look at that right column. In the login area in the upper right of the screen, make the following changes: 1) Change “Secure Log In?? to “Author Login??. 2) Change “User ID or Acct. Number?? to “User Name??. 3) Remove “Learn More?? and the graphic of the lock to its right. 4) Change “Remember my user ID?? to “Remember me??. 5) Create a new graphic for “Login??. In the second section of the right column, we will use one of two possible elements. The first is a rotating list of upcoming Article Marketer University classes with a button to “Learn More??. The second is an ad for our newsletter with a button to “Sign up??. Come up with some small graphical element for each of these if you have room and it benefits the overall design. We will not be using a third section since the column needs to be shortened as noted above. At the bottom of the example page are some links and copyright info. Below that we need a navigation bar with buttons. The buttons must be a graphic overlaid with text a la CSS. The buttons will read: Learn More Newsletter Contact Us Add Your Site Author Login (make this button stand out somehow) It would be great if there was room for up to two more buttons also, to the left of “Author Login??. At the bottom of the page should be the same links, copyright and contact info as the homepage. POP UP TEMPLATE INSTRUCTIONS The template should NOT have the logo, navigation bar, links, copyright, or contact info. It needs a header for a changeable text title that stands out from the body and a graphic for the lower right corner that says “Close window??. All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
