I use a medical device, a humphrey visual field analyzer, that runs on a closed Linux system (?).
The device records input by the patient via a pushbutton, and produces a numerical and graphic report (see attached)
The printer is attached via a parralel port, and there are several varied serial ports. I have attached a poor quality photo of the back of the instrument
I would like to create a "print capture" program/device that could capture the print output as data before it is sent to the printer.?
a)? ? ? I would then like to be able to save this data to my PC or server via the network in a form that will display the same image as the printed endproduct.
b)? ? ? ? Additionally, I would like to have the data delivered to the printer in its ususal state
My purpose is to be able to retrierve and view the results electronically in addition to the standard 'paper' form
I know little more about the system - if additional information is desirable, i will detail the product manufacture and model in case you would like to explore this info on the web.
Zeiss/Humphrey Field Analyzer; model 740
Thanks
