Website displaying incorrectly in IE8

I'm having trouble with the way a website displays in IE 8. It is a Wordpress Site, running a Genesis Framework Child Theme that is a variation on the new mobile-responsive Eleven40.

The problem seems to be occurring when the site is viewed in IE8. Specifically, none of the featured images from the posts in categories show. You can see the site for yourself here: http://chat***.com/category/wireless-products/standard-phones/ Replace the *** with "cat" to make the link work.
