Countdown timer for raspberry pi (linux)

Have very nice understanding of embedded system and have already done a similar project where we made huge count down display for our college techfest. Hello, I've built both web applications and Qt based applications on the Pi. I have done many projects with Raspberry Pi including home automation, video surveillance, media center add-ons. Among the hardware I've used with it are EnOcean devices, GrovePi sensors, HAT boards (GrovePi, SenseHAT, UnicornHAT, PiFace relay), picamera, magnetic card readers, Modbus devices, servo motors and many others. Hi, This will be a very easy application to make under Raspbian OS. And I Have an offer for you, I will run my own linux image on your raspberry pi board. which will boot in about 4 to 7 seconds. in comparison with Raspbian OS which boot in about 20 seconds.

Since you want to load a webpage after given period of time I would use a webpage that would periodically (1 second) perform linux system calls to get the time and redirect to the page you want after a given period of time. The controls for the timer period, reset, pause, etc.. would be on the page itself or on a separate page. A cheaper and easier way to do it would be with a console app but the visual appearances I believe you are looking for would not be possible. I'm freshly graduated in electronics engineering, I specialize in micro-controller programming. My latest project was to develop the firmware for a prototype acquisition card using a beagle bone and a bluetooth low energy dongle to communication with a main controller card. I've been working on home automation projects on my raspberry pi during my free time and several other small projects such as chess games AI. So I could use my own raspberry pi to test the code. I've also gathered some knowledge and experience of web programming and database design and implementation during internships and working on personal projects.
