I have compiled a database (currently in Excel) of correlated information and need to enable it to be queried by a user through my Amazon Web Services-hosted (EC2-based) WordPress site. I am currently using the OnePress theme. Database will be frequently updated by an Administrator to capture current information and website will need to reflect these changes. Fundamentals of my project: Capability to enable a user to access stored data via a public website Capability for user to search through dataset by keywords and/or specific fields in order to return results Capability for storage medium storing data to expand/scale with dataset growth Capability for system to support increasing user requests/scale For comparison, [login to view URL] is a functional representative of my intent; a user interacts with the back-end dataset via a single search window and searches for specific datapoint related to the film and entertainment industry. In IMDB's case, results are a specific actor, director, movie, TV show, etc. Once a result is returned to the user, the user can further explore connections to their original search. I have attached a sample dataset and notional architectures to help depict what I am looking for. I'm thinking this could be completed in an incremental approach, but if it makes more sense to proceed to version 2.0 before 1.0 due to the storage requirement, I'm ok with that. Thank you.
