From the statement i can understand you need to configure mysql to support your DB requirements. I hope you have a running lInux server - i would like to know RHEL or Ubuntu. Because the mysql package name differs for both variants. You may also need to install specific PHP modules to interact your codes with the DB. Let me know if interested.
