Hi, I'm installing a Wordpress site in a Centos 6.3 server. Hosting provider is a university, and they give the server as it is, with NO support at all. My linux knowledge is very limited but I have been able to solve a couple of issues. .htaccess files were not beeing read, and so the permalinks were not working. I managed to solve this by modifying the Allowoverwrite in the server. I also activated (I think) mod_rewrite. Now the .htaccess file is read, but the redirection is still not working. I need someone who can access the server and solve this problem so that I can work normally with Wordpress. I hope is a problem that can be solved quickly, because I can't expend more than $30 in this.
