Modification of phpBB forum

Please read everything before placing a bid. If I suspect you haven't, I am unlikely to accept your bid. I can of course answer questions where I have not explained in enough detail.

These are very specific requirements so please set bid at the price you're willing to accept to do a quality job, not just the lowest amount to get my attention. I will not accept bartering/haggling so your bid is your final price regardless of discussion preliminaries. I am generally computer literate, but I do not possess the skills needed to complete this project hence this posting.

It would help if you are familiar with [login to view URL] forums as that is the software you will be developing on. It is open source but also established forum software. I need to modify this to suit my own requirements. I do not give access to my website for security reasons, so please ensure you have the setup to develop on your own domain (you can send me zip of changes including document of instructions via chat). The details of the project are as follows:

The user registration page has already been modified from the phpbb 3.2.5 release to include a set of checkboxes. Currently the title attribute is acting as tooltip help text, but this should be changed to an unobtrusive info icon that when the user clicks pops up the tooltip help text. The checkbox list needs enhancing to do the following.

Each checkbox represents a "user association" (you will learn what I mean by that, but for the purpose of assessing work effort it is unnecessary to explain here). With each "user association" they select, the user needs to define ("definition") the following (some "user associations" can have 1 or more "definitions", others can only have one):

Verification Level: Depending on the "user association", the choices could be Email, PayPal, Member, Postal. More than one may be mandatory depending on the selected "user association" so I presume this will either be a drop down, checkboxes or option buttons - whatever is suitable.

UK Post Code: to be entered by user.

Street Name or Building Name: I have a POC (to be forwarded) to look up all street addresses based on entered Post Code that can be used for the user to select from (unless Postal verified, you would need to filter the list so it gives unique list of street names / building names for the user to select from - I am not interested in the house or apartment number unless Postal verified. Freeform user entry should NOT be permitted unless Postal verified. If user entered address, the street name or building name (for apartments) needs to be captured for storage).

More information on Verification Level:

Email is the standard activation email link that's sent to the registered user's email address

"PayPal" is making use of the PayPal AddressVerify API to verify a user's home address. I have a POC that demonstrates usage (details to be forwarded if requested). The user should use the same email address they are planning to register with as the PayPal address they claim is associated with their post code.

Member-Verified is where an existing (Postal verified) member has confirmed the user's authenticity. A solution to manage this needs to be found and implemented e.g. member generated time limited unique code

Postal: user verifies their authenticity by having an automated letter sent to them with a unique code. The API to manage this needs to be found and implemented, but is not mandatory for this project. At minimum the design should allow for this. Any work beyond this is done at your discretion (but feedback will be very positive if done well). If you have read this far, when you make a bid mention what part of this project is optional so I can be confident you've taken the time to read and understand the requirements.

I'm happy to discuss design ideas, but I reckon a … feature against each "user association" that pops up a definition form of some sort for the user to edit will be good. Layout should be consistent.
