We are trying to finish a website selling supplements [login to view URL] , which needs some design improvements (fonts, colors, layout, product photos, web optimized images, etc).
The first developer/designer we hired made some choices i didnt like and did not understand (using a child theme instead of the full theme, i dont know why). we didnt like the photos she used or the fonts, etc.. We have fixed lots of the problems, but i still think it could be improved by a wordpress developer with a good sense of design.
We hired another contractor to help make further improvements, and they improved the slider design but broke many aspects of the website, and said the reason they couldnt fix it was that the site used a child theme instead of the full theme (though i provided them with a drive link that had the full files in it). The site used to have buttons to add to cart when mouseover a product, now it is white on white and unreadable. Same for the shopping cart in the top right, it used to show the number of items in the cart but the last contractor messed that up and didnt fix it. They also messed up the menu positioning and made it white-on-white and completely unreadable and unusable
we will include a google drive link with all the access info, all product photos (RAW and JPEG), logo files, theme files, etc., so that you can choose which you think would work best for the site images and product photos
What we would like your help with is:
#1 fixing the mistakes made by previous contractors. This includes the white on white problems pointed at by the red arrows in the attached images, the menu and logo being unreadable, the buttons on the product images not showing up, cart count not showing up, unprofessional product image cut-out job, and switching back to the full theme instead of the child theme (unless you think it makes sense to stay with the child theme). Plus any other obvious mistakes you can find.
#2 Make general design improvements to the site. Help us improve the layout and speed of the site. Better font choices, layout improvements, adjusting colors, improving product photo cutouts (if needed), choosing better images, etc. We are open to consider any suggestions you might have.
#3 anything else you can think of to help improve the site's layout, design, speed, and conversion rate

Hi there, These issues should be straight forward to fix. I am based in Australia (native English speaking) and am a "Preferred Freelancer because of my communication and work ethic.
1) Child theme - there should be no problems using a child theme. These are used simply to avoid future updates overriding settings. They should never impact the sites performance.
Images - the site is taking a long time to load - I'm thinking that the main images will need to be optimised for web first using photo shop, then uploaded again - but I wont know for sure until I get into the site.
Java script - there could be a bunch of it sitting in your header that can go to the footer to speed up the site too. I will investigate this if I get the job
White on white - that is a simple CSS fix and inexcusable by the previous Freelancers. Same with all of the other fixes you list in point 1. Ill do a sweep of the site to see if there are any other obvious errors
2) Ill do a speed test which will highlight other problems you may have in site loading then make recommendations for improvement. I will also to a fake order as a consumer ans test the buying process start to finish.
3) As above. I have 7 years experience in Wordpress/Woocommerce and 20+ years experience in marketing - so I will have many other suggestions as I go through the job. This is what I do best.
