I have this strange issue where "?attachment_id=" archive pages are being indexed by Google on my Wordpress blog, and somehow, bypassing Yoast SEO completely.
If I Google "site:automoblog. net inurl:attachment_id" I get 143 results. Here are a few quick examples:
When clicking into the pages, They're typical archive pages (although showing different posts than their non-'attachment_id' pages).
They are also bypassing Yoast, because the titles of the pages are the Wordpress title settings ("Site Name | Wordpress Title | Page XX") instead of the Yoast setting ("Site Name - Yoast's Title Setting")
I've used the Health Check plugin to disable all themes and plugins and it's still happening, the pages are still there, so I don't think it's a theme/plugin issue, and after reviewing htaccess it doesn't seem like that either. It's possibly a Wordpress file's weird setting in wp-settings or wp-config, but I can't find it.
I could block them from being indexed with [login to view URL] but my main concern is about why they're being created in the first place, and why I can't fix it.
