PLC developer

I'd like to mount a SICK LMS111 on the back of a Conveyor, watching product traveling away from the Sensor, measure the distance, then pass the distance into a Control Logix PLC. As the Product gets further and further from the Sensor, need to limit the viewing angle, read the distance, and send to the PLC. The software would need to adjust the Angle/Region as the product is moving away. I'll need to be able to configure / calibrate the Sensor with a configuration file, including IP Address of Sensor, IP of PLC, Rack# of PLC, PLC Tag, and a few a parameters for configuration/calibration. The Source code is mandatory. Having vision experience is a huge plus. This software would run 24 hours a day, so it needs to be stable for a month+ at a time. If the Sensor or PLC disconnects or turns off at anytime, the software needs to reconnect automatically when they come back online.
