I'd like to mount a SICK LMS111 on the back of a Conveyor, watching product traveling away from the Sensor, measure the distance, then pass the distance into a Control Logix PLC.
As the Product gets further and further from the Sensor, need to limit the viewing angle, read the distance, and send to the PLC.

The geometry is a bit tricky. The software would need to adjust the Angle/Region as the product is moving away. I'll need to be able to configure / calibrate the Sensor with a configuration file, including IP Address of Sensor, IP of PLC, Rack# of PLC, PLC Tag, and a few a parameters for configuration/calibration. The Source code is mandatory. Having vision experience is a huge plus.
This software would run 24 hours a day, so it needs to be stable for a month+ at a time.
If the Sensor or PLC disconnects or turns off at anytime, the software needs to reconnect automatically when they come back online.
