Hello, I don't think raspberry pi alone can do this stuff you should use Nvidia stuff like Nvidia TX2 or use Movidus to help raspberry pi for detect the type of the car. please me a message that i can give you advice.

We have been into IT since 1994 (MS-DOS based desktop software), into Web-apps since 2001, asterisk based VoIP and Wowza/FMS/red5/others based video streaming/VOD apps for about 10 years. We also maintain our clients' servers (mostly linux) on their behalf besides fiddling with our own Linux test bed VPS's and VMs. Currently serving and exploring International clients for video streaming, IPTV, backend support and VoIP related work through these portals for mutually beneficial and long lasting collaborations. By data, I presumed it is video? Practically speaking, we have seen "jerking" in live streaming of such videos due to the nature of mobile data. If it is just the counter data, then the above is not a problem. You will need to provide the format in which the data is needed before hand, Please mention what customizations have been done to Linux. That should be enough for now. Able to do things with pi

Hello, Hope you are doing good. As you have stated in the description that you want the application to detect small car/ SUV / bus / moto / person and collect there data to send it over the web server. To do so, i'm going to use machine learning framework in python which will detect the objects you've described here and send the data to the web server. Queries :- 1) What kind of data do you want to send to the web server. Will it be the count of detected object or something else ? 2) Do you have the web server ready ? If you think I'm missing out some scenario then please do tell.

Buenas noches, actualmente estoy realizando mi trabajo de grado el cual es muy similar al proyecto que usted necesita; yo estoy utilizando una raspberry pi para registrar el ingreso de vehículos y clarificarlos según su tamaño utilizando una cámara IP marca HIKVISION y luego envió esta información a un servidor utilizando un dongle 3g. Debido a lo anterior tengo experiencia utilizando las librerias de OpenCV y ALPR. Investigando sobre la necesidad de su proyecto podemos implementar machine learning para lograr una mejor identificación de los diferentes vehículos o personas y también podría utilizar la RPI CAMERA si lo desea.
