seems like you are working for a review paper of some sort. Anyways. Greetings. When it comes to PDE's The most common , which are used in real life are 1.) Laplace equation 2.) Heat equation 3.) Wave equation 4.) Poison equation These all comes under diffusion ( advection term is zero) Then there comes more advance PDE like momentum equation used in CFD (fluid) Since I have a strong background in the Computation science's So I have studied various cases where analytic solution is also possible. The numerical methods like central differencing, Upwind etc are also used to validate the same analytic solution or vice versa. I have a strong knowledge regarding the physics that is taking place to support these equations. And this is All I know. Currently I am working on a research paper - Simulation of hydrogen-metal hydrides absorption simulation completely numerically ( custom C programming codes for all the calculation and grid generation).
