Hi, I think you are actually don't need to update from VC++ to DevC++.
Visual Studio Community Edition is free, full-functional, and allows commercial use for individual developers and small teams (likely up to 5 persons, please check exactly in the VS license text). The only condition - you must register personal Microsoft account, and log in with it in the Visual Studio after you install it.
Just download and install VS2017 Community Edition and ensure your program compiles with it. When installing choose "Desktop C++ " workload. That's all you need.
